Cameras & Rendering.

Cameras were added to give the best quality view to the Animation.
they have alot more options than just rendering through a viewport.
whilst rendering the format output was set to an AVI file.

Collecting Models

All of the objects were then collected into a scene, and light was added to five the form of a shadow.
cameras were next added to give the set some animation.

Helicopter

I went on to create a helicopter. I started off with just a sphere, converted it to poly editing and removed some of the front so a window could be added. another sphere was added and placed inside the first one with the teture of a glass look. I then built the rest up from shapes, and used the bend Modifier tool to bend the landing bars. I have decided this is too simple and looks no way near realistic, So I will need to recreate it.

Glass 'n' Cigar

I created a glass using the lathe tool, prior to creating its shape with just a simple line tool, then using the lathe Modify tool. I then applied a glass-like texture and added some extra lighting to give off more effect. A cigar was then Created by producing a cylinder, converting it to poly and manipulating faces on the cigar.

Pistol & silencer

I then Selected Individual shapes and modfied them with 'smooth' from the modify list

First Model - Pistol

Next I then added another cylinder to make the barrel. this extended onto the sight which is a pyramid edited using the 'bend' modify tool under the modify list. The cartridge was then added usin the box shape. I then converted this into a editable poly and added some shape to it.

First Modell - Pistol with silencer

The barrell was first Created, along with the silencer, to create the silencer I produced to cylinders. One slightly larger in radius alligned on top of one another. I then converted the Larger Cylinder to an editable Poly, Ensuring i had plenty of segments to work with. I then selected the edge option and deleted rows from the large cylinder so the smaller one showed through. This gave the silencer alot of shape.

freezing an image in 3DS

Freezing Images in 3DS max Prooves to be a very handy tool. This alows you to fit and image and co-ordinate where about you would like to place it and can determine how about the image is placed within the plane. This is a really useful way of using detailed plans to recreate models. It makes creating models a whole lot more easier.

Loft tool

Using the loft tool was a useful way of converting lines into shapes. This was achieved by first During a Line of the sort of shape you want to produce, you then draw a seperate shape, this shape will act as the shape of your line. In this case it was a circle. The shape ended out to be more rounded.

James Bond Moodboard

Creating this moodboard will give me inspiration when coming to think of ideas for my james bond animation. It will act as a referall that I can look back at when I want to modell a shape or figure. The moodboard mostly reflects the Iconic Images from the film.

Introduction & basics, 3D modelling

I then Created a bowl of fruit Converting simple shapes to poly and editing edges and sides using tools such as the extrude tool

Introduction & basics, 3D modelling

Later on I created a snowman in an environment with some now. Added some texture to the Torus( scarf) and added a background using the material editor.

Introduction & basics, 3D modelling

Today I had a go at the basics of 3Ds max. As this software is new to me it was useful to learn the basics first. I created a 3D castle as my first model. getting the allignment right was tricky and crucial.
